Akshar Dhaam
The Akshardham Temple complex in Delhi was opened to the public on November 8, 2005. It reflects the colorful Hindu religion. Iskcon Temple
ISKCON Temple is located at Hari Krishna Hill, in the East of Kailash area of New Delhi. It was built as recently as 1998 and is one of the most lavish and grand temples of the city. A fine example of architecture, it sports 'Shikharas', rising to a height of 90-ft above ground level. The temple has air-conditioned hall that can hold as many as 1,500 people at once. The fine art paintings by Russian artists here depict lives and events related to Hindu mythological characters, like Radha-Krishna, Sita-Ram, Laxman, Hanuman and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
 
Lotus Temple
The Bahai House of worship was designed by Iraninan architect Fariburz Sahba and its construction came to an end in the year 1986. Built of marble blocks, the Lotus temple is an architectural marvel built in the shape of a white lotus in half bloom. Set in the midst of acres of lush lawns, the Lotus Temple mirrors the concept of peace and all the values that are so integral to the Bahai sect. The 27 massive lotus petals lie at the confluence of nine pathways and pools reflecting the Bahai tradition that there are but nine ways to reach God. The doors of the Lotus Temple welcome people from all faiths, creeds, religions and faiths in keeping with the tradition of secularism. There are several buildings located close to the Lotus Temple that engage members of the Bahai sect who serve the poor and the infirm.
 
India Gate
